stART- The Very Hungry Caterpillar

A Story + Art = A Great stART!
This week we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. In it the Caterpillar eats and eats until he is no longer hungry...and then becomes a beautiful butterfly. For our art project we did foot print butterflies. I have seen them on many blogs and loving hand and foot prints the way I do...it was only a matter of time....

Ryleigh LOVED this project...and Braeden did his very first stART project...he was less then thrilled...but now we have a cute baby feet butterfly... I did the ART part of the stART project while some of the girls were over for "school"/"playing projects"...anyway...we are having a small problem loading my pictures onto the computer so Michelle was nice enough to send me a finished picture that she took so I could put the post up for Thursday.....Thanks Michelle!!!

Ryleigh's Butterfly is in Yellow and Braeden's is in Blue
Ryleigh 35 3/4 Months...Braeden 8 1/2 Months...

Very cute. I've thought about doing handprint butterflies, but Little Sweets won't open her had wide enought to get a good print. Footprints are a cute idea and more appropriate for younger children.

Awww, you know I think footprint crafts might actually be cuter than handprint ones.
