Field Tripping....to go Apple Picking....

What a perfect way to complete our apple theme....by going apple picking in upstate NY...a first for both Ryleigh and Braeden.... Ryleigh had so much fun (as did the rest of us)...she had been so excited for over a week to go apple picking with Grandma Sue...she LOVED running through the orchard...picking the apples...more running...tasting the apples...Ryleigh also got to ride a pony...look at some farm animals.... and get a mini pumpkin....Braeden was so well behaved and had a lot of fun also...he even got in on the apple picking action...

Ryleigh picking the apples with Grandma Sue...

Tasting the apple....
Braeden picking the apples...from his stroller....

Ryleigh...getting in the tree to get the good apples...

onto the next tree...
Bringing the apple back to the bag...

After the bag got pretty heavy...
Ryleigh liked to run the apple from the tree to the stroller...

Watching his sister pick apples...holding onto his apple...
that he refused to let go off...pretty much all the way home...

Getting some assistance from Grandma Sue...
Seriously...he is not letting go of his apple....
Ryleigh riding on a pony...
Daddy and Braeden watching Ryleigh on the pony...
Me.... "You want me to go near what?"....as we were heading toward the animals....
Ryleigh and Grandma Sue...venturing over to see the turkeys and chickens...
Braeden and I....from a safe distance....
Braeden....as a pumpkin....
Such a great day!

Oh the memories you brought back. I grew up in Queens NY and I remember going with friends to upstate NY to go apple picking.

Priceless that he wouldn't let go of the apple. :)

How much fun. My middle son just asked to go apple picking, but I think we are at least a two hour drive away from any...
