A Story + Art = A great stART!!!
We have been reading chapters out of the Complete Tales of Winne the Pooh... Ryleigh loves pooh bear... as do I... I actually had this book long before she was born.... so for our stART project this week...which has absolutely nothing to do with the book...except that Pooh and Christopher Robin go on a picnic...and we used condiment containers...which remind me of summer...the season of picnics...we did some open ended painting....I saw these ketchup and mustard bottles in the Dollar Tree and thought that they would be fun to paint with. In one I put water and food coloring ... and in the other I put some pink paint...and water....the food coloring bottle worked much better.... This was actually less messy than I anticipated.... and Ryleigh LOVED it!!!
Ryleigh "painting" with the bottles...

How fun! I'm going to have to try this with Dawson sometime!
I almost bought those same bottles at the dollar tree...looks like I will need to go back!! Great project...thank you for linking up to stART :0)
Those bottles are good for making "squeeze rockets", too.
I love the way the final project turned out - like the sky, just before sunrise :)
What gorgeous marbleized art!
The bottles and tray looks like the right way to paint. What great ideas.
That is a brilliant idea. I'll have to keep it in mind next time I pass those bottles. I'm really impressed she'll sit through the original Winnie the Pooh! It's never managed to hold my girls' attention.
That turned out really well..she did a great job!
We have that book! Always fun to come up with new painting materials.
I saw those bottles too. Now, I'm going to want to run back to the DT and buy them so that Nathan can do this art project too :) Great idea and wonderful picture!
We love Winnie the Pooh here too - what a fun idea to squeeze paint from those containers.
I like your art project! We use condiment bottles for art sometimes too.
I'm a lawyer too. I haven't really practiced in a few years though, but I do teach a class at a law school once in a while.
This looks like a fun project! She did a cute job.
