A story + Art = a great stART!!!
We read Pooh and the Falling Leaves again for stART (we read it all the time, but we are using it again for stART...our last year project can be seen here... it was our second ever stART project and waaaaay back at the beginning of my blogging....).
For our project this week we did leaf outline painting...I taped silk leaves (that I got from the Target dollar spot) to construction paper and had the girls roller paint over them...and then remove them to show the outline of the leaves....

The finished project...I am thinking next time I will just use real leaves...

ReplyDeleteThis is a fun idea that I think my son would love. If only I could figure out where I put our roller paint brushes. I don't know if I realized you were a former attorney until I just noticed it on your sidebar -- I am too.

It's good to know about the difficutly with silk leaves. I'll keep that in mind if we try this. It is a great idea!

We "sponge" painted leaves this week for our tree.
Oh those are cute, I bought those silk leaves too, didn't know what I would do with them at the time, but I bought them because they were maked down to 75% off.
