stART - The Foot Book

A Story + Art = A great stART!!!!

This week we are doing letter Ff...so we read the Foot Book by Dr. Suess...how fun is Dr. Suess? ... Anyway for our project we did Footprint Ghosts... (tying into both letter Ff and Halloween...)... I had previously done this project when Ryleigh was about 1 1/2.... it was a little easier this time around...I had the girls do white footprints and then when they dried we used black marker to make the faces...

Me...painting Ryleigh's foot...
Ryleigh...stepping onto the black paper...to make the foot print....
Ryleigh's finished "Foot Ghost"

Super cute! My 4 year old is very picky about stuff on his feet - would I be crazy to try it with my little one year old baby feet? Probably!

Footprint crafts always scare me - I have visions of paint footprints all over the house :)

The ghost is so cute. I love the controlled painting experience too. My crafts are so messy.

Thanks so much for linking to Read.Explore.Learn.
