Ryleigh is 36 Months and Braeden is 9 Months
This week we did the Letter of the Week (W is for Watermelon), pre-writing, sorting, LISTENING, dance class, a dance birthday party, baking, and lots of outdoor time....
Ryleigh playing hopscotch...not only a great physical activity...but great number review!
Bubbles....
Running...she did lots and lots of running....
Ryleigh's friend Teagan had her birthday party at the dance studio... it was a pajama party...Ryleigh wore her Elmo jammies...of course... they did lots of dancing and decorated t-shirts...
After the party...
Some pre-writing...tracing out of the Kumon workbook...I put them in page protectors and let them use white board markers...
We worked on LISTENING skills this week... using a large buttons of different shapes and colors... we told the girls to find specific ones and put them in specific places...i.e...on top of the square button... we also used them for counting practice...i.e...find 3 buttons and put them in the muffin tin...(then they count out 3)... the girls really liked this activity and listening skills are going to be a focus for us as we gear up for pre-school...This week we did the letter "W".
We had the girls put little stickers on a W that I had drawn on paper.
A great fine motor activity.
We did W for Watermelon. I had the girls do finger-print black seeds on red triangles and then put them behind green W's.They also made Waffles. With the imprints of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger....
TINY TOT SCHOOL:
Big things are happening for Braeden right now. He has learned to pull up...and clap :) He also had his 9 month check up and is a little over 25 pounds and almost 30 inches tall... And although he is not crawling in the conventional sense...he is moving around quickly and efficiently...
Watching his sister....
Watching the older kids dance at the birthday party...
With Juliette....I believe they were using their phones to call each other...
With Anna...exploring the toy bin....
Having fun with Ryleigh...tearing up pieces of paper...a great fine motor activity....
A Neighbor UpdateUnfortunately, I believe that all but 1 or 2 of the rabbits have now moved away... luckily though there is still at least one that remains who is not camera shy...
