a story + art = a great stART!!!
For the project portion we used the felt board to decorate eggs. I cut out a large cream colored egg out of felt and several decorations for her to use. She had a great time decorating....over and over with different variations... below is a sequence of her first attempt.. and in case you are wondering what the yellow is supposed to be under the egg...that is felt grass of course...(I actually put that part there...)For this week's stART project, we read Pooh's Easter Basket. It's a cute board book that Ryleigh got in last year's Easter Basket. She really likes because (A) its about Pooh Bear and Friends and (B) she can carry it around. It's a great book to review colors...each page has a different character with a different colored/patterned egg.

How fun! That's such a neat project she can keep playing with and redesigning.
I really love this idea! We didn't do anything new with felt in forever - this would be a good chance to create something easy. The book looks like fun too.
Fun idea. I love that she can do the project more than once.
Felt projects keep the kids busy. My daughter would love cutting out pieces and decorating an egg...cute idea.
What a great way to be able to decorate eggs over and over!
I love it that the felt board is so large - really gives your daughter lots of space to create! And the book looks fun with that carry handle :-)
I usually think of felt boards belonging in dusty sunday school classrooms, but this project is great! I think my girls would love it.
This is awesome! I love this idea.
