stART- Pooh and the Falling Leaves...Again

A Story + Art = A great stART!

For this weeks stART project, we read Pooh and the Falling Leaves...again....(Ryleigh really likes this book)... This time we made hand-print leaves (falling off a tree). I have seen a lot of similar projects lately (due to the fall season)...

I had Ryleigh start with the lighter colors first and make plenty of hand-prints on the page...we gradually moved through the colors and ended up with a page full of beautiful fall leaves. We then painted a "tree with branches"- in brown to complete the picture.

Ryleigh with the lighter fall colors...

Ryleigh adding in the darker fall colors....
The finished project

What a fun simple project. And it looks like she stayed relatively clean, I'm impressed.

What a great project! I wish my daughter would allow paint on her hands!!

I got your comment on my blog, and wanted to let you know that I got our peg board at our local teacher supply store. However, when I was searching for the link, I found that they DO sell it online (and for a cheaper price than I paid!).

Love your blog!

This is such a great and easy fall project. I love it! I wish my little guy was a little more in to finger painting...right now he hates getting paint on his hands.
