Field Trippin' .... to the National Play Museum... Rochester

While we were upstate we checked out the Rochester National Play Museum with some of my friends...so ... much... fun!!! I think I have narrowed the pictures down from 270+ to about 45... You Are Welcome!!! Please also keep in mind that we only saw half the museum...imagine how many pictures there would be if we had seen the entire thing!

When you walk into the museum the first thing you see is the carousel...

Braeden...wondering how he can get the horse to detach...
Ryleigh... excited to get started...
It was a little difficult to get Braeden past the first attraction... a.k.a... the lobby....
This was my favorite part....for obvious reasons... oh how we miss Wegmans! ... This was a miniature Wegmans grocery store... LOVE IT!!!
Ryleigh taking a cart to go shopping...
Braeden in the bakery section...
The checkout was awesome... the belt really moved, they actually got to scan the items...and a receipt... with WEGMANS' name on it...with their items listed..
Cashing out...
She liked the price scanner...
Braeden had Ryleigh check out his groceries...
Can you tell me how to get... how to get to sesame street? ....
Sunny Days... so difficult to get them all facing forward at the same time...
It was so fun to play "on Sesame Street"...
The girls served up some street cart food...
On TV with Elmo....
Watching the screen.... seeing themselves on with Abbey... and if you look really closely... you will see Braeden is standing in between them...
Braeden listening to a story...on Elmo's Bed...
Playing with the musical pipes...
Spinning the wheels to make different words...
Maia driving Elmo and Cookie Monster around...
Taking some time out to dig in some stones... under the ship...
Working in the post office...writing a letter...
Distributing the letter...
Braeden... with Mama Bear...
They had a whole Berenstain Bears Wing...
Up in the tree house...
The boys clubhouse...
The diner.... Braeden was washing some dishes...
Making some snacks...
Washing his hands...
The workshop...
More workshop...these were really neat because they were so movable... and they even had play wood for them to use to create with...
Here they were working on fixing the sink...
The next section we ended up in was the area based on books... Here they were playing in the giants playroom... from Jack and the Bean Stalk...
Giant Connect 4 anyone?...
Braeden pulling a frog out of the well by Peter Rabbits Garden...
Matching Shape Veggies in the garden...
Climbing up the beanstalk...
A closeup of Bryson and Ryleigh...
Using levers to make the Giant move...
One of the favorites... riding the train.... Ryleigh and Maia....
A picture of the train going round the track...
Ending our Museum visit...with... trains... Braeden and Maia...

  2. What an awesome children's museum! My kids love going to children's museums, too, especially the ones in large cities that have so much to do that you could be there for a week!
