stART- Up, Up, Up! It's Apple Picking Time

A story + art = a great stART!!!This week for our story we read Up, Up, Up!, It's Apple Picking Time by Jody Fickes Shapiro. A perfect fall story illustrating an extended family coming together to pick and then sell apples. For our project we did Apple Prints (of course!)... the girls really enjoyed this project on their first "official" day of preschool...

First I had the girls paint their paper green...for the tree leaves...
After they semi-dried...they did Apple Prints... (making the apples on the trees)
Ryleigh really liked this activity...
The finished project...an apple tree...

    Oh how wonderfully cute. I LOVE YOUR APPLE TREE!! You know, I think we will make one tomorrow! We have baby apples in the garden and Red Ted would enjoy this so much!

    It has been a long time since we did apple printing. I guess this is the perfect time to do it again! Maybe we will give this project a try.
