stART- chicka chicka boom boom

A story + art = a great stART!

For this week's stART project we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr....we read this story at least once a week every week... it is one of Ryleigh's favorites... for our project Ryleigh did hand-prints and then stamped the alphabet letters in various colors around them...a great fine motor activity as well as letter review... she LOVED this activity...and especially liked saying "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom"...randomly throughout the project....

Ryleigh starting to stamp with the alphabet stamps...I didn't get a picture of her hand-printing...because I was helping...and didn't really want to get paint on the camera...again...
Working her way through the alphabet...
The finished project....it is a little hard to see all the letters...but they are all there....

  5. What a great project. I borrowed that book from the library here a while back, it wasn't a huge hit with Selena, but I loved it.

  7. We did work with stamps this week too. JDaniel had a little trouble putting enough pressure on the stamps to get all the details.
