stART- Paper Confetti Acorns

A Story + Art = a great stART!!!

We are still working on our Fall Theme (and will be for a bit)... one of the cute books we read was Autumn Walk by Ann Burg.... the title pretty much says it all... it is a board book that is easy to read...and easy to listen too...and definitely conjures up feelings of fall...For our project, I had the girls make paper confetti acorns... i.e....I cut up three different colors of paper into tiny little shapes...("confetti")... The girls used their glue sticks to stick on the confetti...and then glued on the acorn "hat" (black paper)... I think they came out pretty cute!!!

Gluing....
Applying the confetti.... also...a great fine motor skill practice....
The "hat" glued on...and shaking off the excess paper...
The finished Acorns....
